Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Visa and Documentation Support Officer to join our team in Kathmandu. The Visa and Documentation Support Officer will be responsible for providing expert guidance and assistance to Nepali students with their visa applications and documentation requirements for studying in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of visa processes, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to ensuring students' smooth transition to India.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and comprehensive information to students regarding Indian visa requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Assist students in preparing and compiling all necessary documents for their visa applications, including application forms, financial statements, and academic transcripts.
- Review students' documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Indian visa regulations.
- Guide students through the visa application process, including online application submission, appointment scheduling, and interview preparation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between students and the Indian Embassy/Consulate regarding visa-related matters.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest changes and updates to Indian visa policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of student visa applications and documentation.
- Assist with other related tasks, including pre-departure orientation and post-arrival support, as needed.
- Collaborate with the Student Counseling team to ensure a seamless application and visa process for students.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any visa-related issues or challenges that students may encounter.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in any field; a degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in visa processing, documentation, or a similar administrative role.
- Strong understanding of Indian visa requirements and application procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in Nepali and English is essential.
- Experience working in an education consultancy or with international students is an advantage.
